During Bark at the Park event, we honored our Veterans, and Veteran Dogs on the field before the game started. They were the star of the show. Honorary First Pitch

Roy Smith- Roy is an air force veteran who served two operational tours, and was deployed all over the world for special operations assignments. On September 11th, 2001 he served as the lieutenant colonel and was also a commander in the state of New York at the time.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue is extremely grateful for the service of our veterans and active military. That’s why we introduced our Veteran Service Dog Training Program; to help military veterans by using the power of the human-animal bond while providing a second chance for rescue dogs by training and matching them up with military veterans who can benefit from having a trained service dog in their lives.
