TIPS TO FOLLOW DURING A HURRICANE

  • Do not leave your dog outside or home alone. The safest place for your dog is inside with you!

  • Make sure your dog is wearing his or her collar and identification tag with the correct information visible – in case you get separated. Dogs with micro-chips have a much better chance of being reunited with their owners!

  • Keep your dog in a safe, enclosed room to protect him or her from strong winds, structural damage, or storm surge.

  • Keep toys, food, treats, and medication handy – this will help keep your pup happy!

  • Make sure your dog is up-to-date on vaccines and keep those records handy.

  • Have a dog emergency kit with all necessary supplies.

  • Do not leave your dog behind. It’s illegal! Take care of the pups!!

  • Stay safe!

BDRR wishes you and your dog(s) safety this hurricane season! Please have a pet plan!
